When husband and wife team, Jade + Matthew Take Pictures first approached me with this event I was immediately drawn in. Meet Alex & Melissa, two Brooklyn dwellers who knew two things: They were very much in love, and wanted to have a small wedding right here in Savannah, GA.

Their intimate wedding took place at the lovely and quiet Warren Square in downtown Savannah, it’s one of my favs!

We worked one of Melissa’s favorite quotes from The Great Gatsby into the decor and we think it really sums up the day. Melissa looked gorges in both of her dresses!

toast

After the lovely vows by Rev. Steve Schulte, their six wedding guests toasted with yummy Sparkling Raspberry & Elderflower drink in beautiful gold-rimmed coups.

Dessert

A cake cutting followed with this adorable Lavender and Honey Gluten-free cake with lemon zest buttercream icing and a variety of delicious macarons. {all printed goods + cake by Samantha Huba, Macarons by Maison de Macarons}

How cute is the glitter toss!?! and their pup!?! Oh and did someone order some super sparkly champagne? yes!!!

Beetle

Luckily our friend had this amazing black beetle for their getaway car. we kept this as a surprise for Alex & Melissa and we’re so happy they liked it! After the ceremony guests were escorted to Circa 1875 via beetle and pedi-cab where this loveliness awaited them:

For the flowers we enlisted the super Talented A to Zinnias and collected some lovely milk glass containers. How amazing is that gold tablecloth?! We can’t get enough of it over here at GHEM.
