Ready, set, go! You have less than a week to put this garland together for your New Year’s Eve party, but don’t worry, it’s super easy, promise! {all images courtesy of Izzy Hugdins Photography}

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • twine
  • gold glittered paper {they sell some at Michael’s}
  • glue gun and glue sticks
  • large whole punch {also sold at Michael’s}

Here’s what you do:

  • Pre-cut desired amount of circles out of the glitter paper and fold circles in half.
  • Also pre-cut desired twine length, make sure to leave room for tying.

  • lay twine in fold being sure to leave space at both ends for tying

  • glue down the flaps to secure on twine

  • repeat until the desired length is achieved
  • hang, and enjoy!

How Does Your Garden Grow Saturday: Containers

My garden is currently bursting at the seams…it’s ready to get off the porch and into a yard but until then, here are some containers I would love to buy if I had the room for them…

1. Joey Roth: Self-watering planter 2. Pantone Planter 3. Bike Planter

Sam Flax Project: Completed!

I spent the last weekend of October in Atlanta installing a project I had been working on for Sam Flax. The installation went really well, I had lots of help from my wonderfully handy husband. It was so great to see everything I had been working on come together in the space. I’m so grateful that they gave me the opportunity to transform their space. Go check out their new space, not only to see my work but to check out their amazing new building!!! I’m not the best photographer….but here are a few photos I snatched!

I was in love with the paper dot garland during this project. They have an amazing collection of fine art papers over there!

Those large paper flowers were made using their watercolor paper.

Tissue paper garland and paper bunting…so fun!

Heading to Atlanta…

Hey there, I’ll be heading off to Atlanta tomorrow for the installation of a project I’ve been working on for the amazing Sam Flax store. They have recently moved into a new space so if you’re in the area, go check it out because it’s pretty awesome! Their new address is 1745 Peachtree St. NW at Brookwood Place, Atlanta, GA 30309. And if you go by anytime after this weekend, be sure to check out my stuff! Below is a sneak peak!

Sylvester & Co.

A few months back Broughton Street got a new and exciting addition….say hello to Sylvester & Co., a modern general store. I am fond of stopping by during my lunch break for a quick caffeine fix, they make a delish iced coffee! And for the record, they carry a few lines that I have loved for a very long time…one of which includes this knot door stopper…

damn loft living with no doors….all our doors slide, but maybe in the next house…ha! Definitely stop by and check this place out, great atmosphere, great products, AND great coffee, what more could you ask for?!  They have done an amazing job with the space, inside and out. I love the old savannah map awnings….such a great idea!
