Q&A: What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever had to do for a couple?

Hello there! Well this is a toughie….I get to know my couples very well, so well in fact that some meetings turn into therapy-like sessions where I’m sitting in a chair playing mediator and the couple is sitting on a couch in front of me going back and forth about wedding decisions. It’s all in good fun of course! I also become the go to girl for just about anything on the wedding day. Sam & Jacobs beautiful wedding took place on Dunham Farms and a FARM comes with certain things, right? Like bugs…..deer….dirt…twigs….oh and SNAKES!!! Just a few hours before Sam & Jacob’s ceremony took place, while each of them sat happily in their cottages getting ready and laughing with friends & family, I stumbled upon a baby copperhead! While I was filling up jars of flowers with water this little guy coiled itself around the hose I was using. Inevitably we had to remove it’s head using a sharp object (sorry PETA and all you snake lovers out there…ew). So yes, I am the person who tells crazy Uncle Ira that the music cannot be turned down, I am also the one who makes sure homeless people don’t crash your outdoor ceremony, and in this case, I also fend snakes off for you! You just never know what’s going to happen on your wedding day, and I’m happy to be there to ease through an hick-ups that may come up.mccully_121121_lirtsman_1792{Image by Jade + Matthew Take Pictures}

Since then she has attained an M.F.A in Fibers, participated in various solo and group exhibitions and trade shows, won Second Place in the Annual Juried Artist Book Symposium at the ACA Library of SCAD, and received the Ben C.
