Here’s a little Valentine’s Day place card to get you inspired for the upcoming day of love. I really wanted to incorporate the heart shape with the cupid’s arrow in a simple DIY project. And just so you know, you can look forward to monthly DIY segments so stay tuned!
Materials:
- Felt (wool or craft)
- Bamboo sticks (I had some left over from summer BBQs)
- Hot Glue gun
- Glue sticks
- Colorful paper
- Scissors
1. Cut the shape of a heart out of some colorful paper and write the desired name on it. Also cut out two matching triangles and two matching arrow “feathers” (or you could use real feathers!)
2. Glue the matching triangle on one edge of the bamboo stick, sandwiching the stick in between the two pieces of felt. Do the same with the feather pieces. I cut a few inches off the bamboo stick to make it a bit shorter. Glue the heart to the designated front side of the arrow.
3. Stick the place card on top of a beverage glass and enjoy! You could also glue a pinback to the back of the arrow and it becomes a cut name tag for a larger party!
