Nicaragua

My best friend and maid of honor, Marcelle, is from the lovely country of Nicaragua. I have visited her there once before but recently I went for a little pre-wedding retreat. It was great! We did so many things…I can’t wait to go back in February for Marcelle’s sister’s wedding!

Marcelle’s family owns two lush coffee farms. We hiked around both of them and it was amazing. My first time seeing the coffee plant in person.

There were wild orchids everywhere, so of course, I was in heaven!

Above is a little sneak peak into their lovely house…more pics to follow for sure. When I had traveled here before the house was still under construction so it was great to finally see it finished. Its a great space for the family and all their family events….like the one below. This was a birthday gathering for Marcelle’s Mom.

On the last few days of my trip we traveled to San Juan del Sur. I like to describe it as a quaint surfer town, I could be wrong about this as I was only there for two days, but either way, I loved it. This is the villa we stayed in, once again, it was awesome.

The view from our beachfront restaurant where we ate delicious lobster tails and drank Michelada’s….well, I was the only one drinking michelada’s but that’s not surprising…overall it was a great trip. Maybe this post should be titled Amazing, instead of Nicaragua!?!

  1. We had so much fun with you! And San Juan is definitely a quaint surfer town. My favorite moment was when we were in bed and you were staring at Dexter and laughing at his goofy face. G.T.s, man.
